Credit Reports
When an organisation such as a bank or finance company is considering a loan or credit application they check the credit report of the applicant. The report gives details such as any applications for credit, including those that were unsuccessful, overdue payments of 60 days or more, both paid, and unpaid and information such as bankruptcy orders or court judgements over debts.
If in doubt about one’s credit rating, checking credit reports kept by the two major credit reporting agencies can avoid unsuccessful applications and ensure that reports are accurate (for example, mistaken or stolen identity).
Contact Baycorp Advantage (www.mycreditfile.com.au) or Dunn and Bradstreet (www.dnb.com.au) to make a credit report application.
