Where can families who are separating find information and support services?
The Child Support Agency website www.csa.gov.au provides:
- An online calculator so parents can find out how much Child Support they will pay or receive, using the standard formula
- Fact sheets about Child Support
- An online Budget Tool to assist families to identify living expenses
- An online Community Services directory listing services for parents
- Booklets for parents addressing separation issues
- ‘Me and My Money’ – a booklet with tips to help parents manage their finances.
If local services are unable to assist, the Family Relationships Advice Line on 1800 050 321 can provide information about the Family Law system and services that can assist.
www.familyrelationships.gov.au also provides information about services, in particular Family Relationships Centres where parents can access information and referral, and dispute resolution services. This site includes information about Family Law in a range of community languages.
